July

Fourth of July: Community Day Celebration
Bring your family and your picnic to the Park of the Arts (behind Neighborhood Music School and Koffee on Audubon -- access on Whitney Avenue near the overpass) and enjoy an urban Fourth of July. At 2pm you can cool off by touring the Farmington Canal (it's always at least 5 degrees cooler) and see Matej Vogrincic's installation up close and in its entirety. Walk through this normally inaccessible historical site and learn about it's role in the history of New Haven and New England. Prepare for an adventure... and remember to wear closed toe shoes.
